Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy allows you to explore your past and present emotions and life experiences. Achieving a better understanding of yourself ultimately helps to increase your capacity for choice and self-determination, thereby improving your overall quality of life.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose, in the present moment without making judgments. It is for people who want to be more fully aware, to improve their overall quality of life, and live life to the fullest.

Mindful Self-Compassion

The three key components of self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Together they comprise a state of warm-hearted, connected presence.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a method of psychotherapy that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

Welcome to The Mindful Self

Mindfulness is about living with intention and awareness which creates the mind body connection towards a whole self. When we feel disconnected or fragmented from ourselves, others and what was once important to us we become open to a multitude of problems in life.

The Mindful Self is a center for psychotherapy using safe and effective, state of the art techniques to help the client to reduce stress, heal from trauma, overcome obstacles, feel empowered, make positive changes and be their best self. In addition to Mindfulness, other highly effective therapies are used such as: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Hypnosis, DBT (Dialectic Behavior Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Psychodynamic, Ego State, and IMAGO.
